A social-inclusion project empowering marginalized Roma through education, skills development and support for active participation in society and the labour market — funded by SODI (Germany), in cooperation with the URBO organization from Požarevac.
Biljana Jovanović is engaged as a Project Manager on a project funded by SODI from Germany, which is focused on improving social inclusion and the position of socially marginalized Roma through education, skills development, and support for active participation in society and the labor market. The project is implemented in cooperation with the URBO organization from Požarevac and represents an important step toward creating more sustainable and inclusive local communities.
Through educational programs, workshops, and public presentations, participants are provided with support in developing professional skills, building self-confidence, and exploring opportunities for starting their own business and start-up initiatives. At the presentations and workshops, we discuss the importance of entrepreneurship, sustainable business ideas, digital opportunities, and the development of local initiatives that can contribute to the economic empowerment of individuals and the community.
A special focus is placed on encouraging young people and members of marginalized groups to recognize their potential, develop creative ideas, and actively participate in creating positive changes in society. We believe that education, access to information, and community support can open up new opportunities for personal and professional development.
Through cooperation with the URBO organization from Požarevac, we are developing a space for dialogue, education, and joint work on initiatives that connect social responsibility, inclusion, sustainable development, and local community empowerment. Such projects represent an important example of how international cooperation, education, and local activism can contribute to creating a fairer and more humane society.
Our goal is not only to provide information, but to inspire people to believe in their ideas, to develop independence, and—through knowledge and mutual support—to build a more secure future for themselves and their families.
