THRIVE — Empowering Young Roma

15. 05. 2026.

An Erasmus+ project empowering young Roma through soft-skills development, building self-confidence and support for employment and active participation in the labour market — in cooperation with the URBO organization from Požarevac.

The THRIVE project is currently underway, implemented under the Erasmus+ program and focused on empowering young Roma through the development of professional skills, building self-confidence, and providing support with employment and active inclusion in the labor market. The project is created in cooperation with the URBO organization from Požarevac and represents an important initiative aimed at social inclusion, non-formal education, and the development of the potential of young people from marginalized communities.
Within the project, Biljana Jovanović is engaged as a trainer for the development of soft skills, where, through workshops and interactive educational programs, she works with young people to improve communication abilities, teamwork, emotional intelligence, public speaking, self-confidence, and professional preparation for the labor market. A special focus of the workshops is placed on empowering participants to recognize their potential, develop independence, and actively participate in shaping their own future.
Through practical working methods, group activities, creative tasks, and experiential learning, participants have the opportunity to develop skills that are essential today for professional development and social inclusion. The workshops encourage open communication, mutual support, and the creation of a safe space in which young people can freely express their ideas, experiences, and ambitions.
We believe that the development of soft skills is just as important as formal education, because it is precisely communication, empathy, creative thinking, adaptability, and teamwork that form the foundation of healthy communities and sustainable professional development. Through the THRIVE project, we strive to provide young people not only with knowledge, but also with motivation, support, and a sense of belonging to a community that believes in their abilities.
Through projects like these, Purple Clover actively promotes non-formal education, inclusion, mental empowerment, and community development through cooperation, education, and the international exchange of experiences. We believe that every person possesses potential that they can develop with adequate support, understanding, and an opportunity to grow.
Through cooperation with the URBO organization from Požarevac, we are creating a space for connecting people, exchanging knowledge, and developing initiatives that encourage positive social change. Our goal is to contribute, through education, creativity, and joint work, to building a society based on equal opportunities, empathy, and mutual respect.
